Meeting rooms are available for organizations or individuals engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, civic, or charitable activities.

Bookmobiles

Libby Bookmobile outside the Worcester Public Library.

The Worcester Public Library brings the library to the community with our Mobile Library Express vehicles — Libby and Lilly. These mobile libraries follow a regular schedule around the city, offering books, audiobooks, DVDs, and other materials for checkout at neighborhood stops.


Patrons can borrow up to six items on the Mobile Library and may request additional items through the online catalog for delivery to any stop. Both vehicles are ADA-compliant and serve people of all ages throughout Worcester.

Talking Book Library

The Worcester Talking Book Library provides free services to Massachusetts residents of any age who are unable to read traditional print materials due to a visual or physical disability. We have access to more than 1.2 million volumes of material, including digital books, large type, described videos, braille, and 100 magazine titles in recorded and braille format.

Providing mail-order service by telephone as well as service on a walk-in basis, the Worcester Talking Book Library serves customers from 9 months to over 100 years old. The Worcester Talking Book Library is located at the Worcester Public Library, and is funded through an annual legislative appropriation administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

All you need to check out items is a Worcester Public Library card or any library card from the CW MARS consortium. Find out how to get a library card here.


Items from the Library Vending Machines have standard loan periods and automatic renewals. Materials may be returned to the Library Vending Machines or at any library in the CW MARS consortium.
